Hey everyone, I hope you had a good week.
It’s that time of year when we celebrate Christ overcoming death; of course there’s more to the Easter celebration than that.
I remember the first time I saw the crucifixion of Christ; it’s not something I can forget.
Of course, I knew that he died on the cross for my sins, but since I was young I didn’t understand the full extent of what Christ went through.
It wasn’t until that Easter service when I saw him being crucified, and I saw what he went through.
In fact, I’m not sure if I watched the whole thing, because I started crying; I had no idea that my savoir suffered that much just to save me from my sins.
To this day, everytime I watch the crucifixion; I cry knowing that there’s nothing I can do to repay him, and knowing that I don’t deserve it.
Easter is more than a holiday, to me it’s a reminder that God will do anything for me, and even though I can’t see him I know that he’s with me.
When I have bad days; I have hope that one day I’ll see God, and I’ll be happy and safe in the arms of my father in heaven.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
My prayer for this Easter weekend is for everyone to take a moment to give thanks to God for sacrificing his only son, so we would be free from our sins.
