Inspiring Christian Story – inspires me to count on God when I’m afraid

Hey guys, I hope you had a good Mother’s Day weekend.

Today’s Bible verse is Psalm 19:7 which says: The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

Yesterday, I was going to watch some Tie Die videos. Instead, I got distracted by other video. One of the videos that I came across was about a couple who had just given birth to a healthy baby girl. Then everything changed, and that baby’s heart stopped beating. The amazing part of this story is that the parents were never afraid, they trusted God through the whole thing. Their faith never wavered, and they were at peace; isn’t that amazing?

Here’s their inspiring story:

I want my faith to be as strong as theirs was. Their story inspired me so much that I’m making it my goal to not be afraid, and to trust in him alone. After all, nothing is impossible with God – Mark 10:27

I was also amazed by how many times they prayed for others out in the open. We should be praying for others, and sharing the gospel; just like they did.

I know that I’ve thought about what I’d do when my faith is put to the test; I wouldn’t back down, but I won’t know that until it comes to pass.

In the Bible, the Apostle Peter said that he wouldn’t deny Jesus, but he did.

Mark 14:27‭-‬31 say this: And Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.” Peter said to him, “Even though they all fall away, I will not.” And Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” But he said emphatically, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” And they all said the same.

A short while later:

And as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came, and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You also were with the Nazarene, Jesus.” But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you mean.” And he went out into the gateway and the rooster crowed. And the servant girl saw him and began again to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.” But again he denied it. And after a little while the bystanders again said to Peter, “Certainly you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.” But he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know this man of whom you speak.” And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept. – Mark 14:66‭-‬72

So you see, we may believe that we would be faithful, but we won’t know until it happens.

I looking for a song that goes along with what people are going through today, and it goes with the video of the couple not giving into fear. (Above)

I found the perfect one; I was trying to find the music video. Instead, I found the song with MercyMe’s testimony, and it was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes.

Here’s the video:

My prayer for this week is that we realize that we need to grow in our faith, so that when we are tested we can come out the other side successfully.

That’s all for now, don’t forget to stay positive.

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him—  my father’s God, and I will exalt him! – Exodus 15:2

  1. Thanks for sharing. Loved the first video. If most Christians lived like this couple, our world would be much different and so much better. God hears and answers prayers of faith!
