The first time I stood during Worship

I was listening to a new song called The Word is Alive, by Seasons Collective. I had a general idea of what I was going to write tonight, that was until I listened to that song.

Anyway, for those of you who don’t know, I’m in a electric wheelchair, specifically the Permobil F5. My wheelchair allows me to stand up and I can also lay flat.

Pretty cool, right?

Now this chair is really expensive, and it took me years to get it, but I’ll talk about that another time.

Because of this amazing wheelchair, I was able to do something that I didn’t think I’d ever do here on earth.

If you haven’t already guessed what I was able to do for the first time ever, let me enlighten you: I stood up for Worship!

Now, I realize that God understands that I’m not able to stand, but I always wanted to. In my heart, I stood up with everyone during Worship, but honestly, it’s just not the same.

I remember being a little nervous, because it was something I had never done. When I stood for Worship, I was instantly filled with pure joy!

Just writing this is bringing tears to my eyes, because in that moment I felt that God was smiling down on me.

That moment is one of the best memories I have, because I got to do what I didn’t think was possible here on earth.

Unfortunately, most people who are in wheelchairs, aren’t able to stand without some help. So having the Permobil F5 is a huge thing, because standing helps our bodies work properly.

Stay positive, stay safe, and spread the gospel.

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him—  my father’s God, and I will exalt him! – Exodus 15:2
