“Are We There Yet?” is a adventure, comedy, family, fantasy, and romance; this movie is rated PG and it came out in 2005.
Suzanne, a single mother (played by Nia Long) of two. Her children are Lindsey (played by Aleisha Allen) and Kevin (played by Philip Bolden).
Suzanne tries to date men after being divorced; but everytime, her Mischievous kids end up sabotaging the relationships.
After Nick, a ladies man (played by Ice Cube) meets Suzanne, and he’ll do anything to impress her. Including taking Lindsey and Kevin on an extended road trip, even though he hates kids.
Within the first hour of being with Kevin and Lindsey, he quickly realizes that the two are willing to do everything they can to sabotage their mother’s relationship with Nick.
After some mischievous behavior toward Nick, he and the children begin to form a bond.
I recommend this move if you’re looking for laugh out loud movie for family movie night then this is the movie for you. I give this movie a 4 out of 5.
If you decide to watch this movie, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
On a side note, there’s a sequel if you’re interested it’s called “Are We Home Yet?” I will not be doing a review on it.
In my opinion the movie has a couple life lessons which makes it even better.
Growing up when you’re parents are divorced is hard, but this movie helps you realize that you aren’t alone.
